Cool at work-The atmosphere of uncertainty around the world is affecting the work life as well. Work pressure has always been there, along with the fear of job loss. Not only this, even minor incidents like snide comments from colleagues, not getting proper recognition for work, politics at work, taunts from the boss, unwarranted criticism or lack of efficiency from colleagues can directly affect your performance.

Besides, the financial crisis is now a global problem. Even if the income does not increase, everyone has to struggle to keep track of expenses. It's not unusual to lose your temper in these situations. However, since the workplace is not your personal space, it is wise to keep a cool head there.

Here are some strategies you can follow to keep yourself calm at work. For example-

If there is a lack of efficiency among colleagues or if there is a disagreement with you, do not express your dissatisfaction verbally. If you don't like someone's behavior or comments, or if the situation calls for it, be sure to protest. But remember, it is possible to keep a cool head but give a competent answer. Performance at work is the proof of your competence. Do your duty quietly and come out.

It's true that many relationships become personal when working with co-workers for a long time, but it's best not to take any workplace comments or incidents personally. Similarly, make sure that any problems or worries at home do not affect your behavior at work.

Don't try to fight back or fight back if you get angry with your boss or senior colleague for no reason. Your goal should be to convey your attitude to him. Answer in a low voice, as naturally as possible. Even if he doesn't want to understand at that moment, remember that your anger will only make the situation more complicated.

Don't hesitate to admit your mistakes. Keep the word 'ego' away as much as possible. In many cases, admitting the mistake solves the problem at the beginning.
Remember, once a word is said, it cannot be taken back. So think twice before making a comment in a heated situation.

If at any moment you cannot control your anger alone, quietly withdraw from it. Take a deep breath and think about the whole thing for a minute. Splash water on the face. Try to see the whole situation from outside. Don't react emotionally.

If you don't get proper recognition for your work, it is natural to feel discontent. And if you hold that anger for a long time, sometimes it will come out. Try to put your opinion in front of higher authorities. If you don't get the respect you deserve or can't adapt, it's better to get out.

Remember, uncertainty, financial strain, work pressure are now a part of everyone's daily life. If everyone can deal with it, then you can too, you have to inculcate this belief in yourself.
