How is aphasia diagnosed?

A neurologist, neurosurgeon or speech and language therapist can diagnose aphasia and determine its cause. The most common tests to diagnose aphasia are CT scan, MRI, lumbar puncture. Speech therapists may also require a detailed assessment.
