Worms belong to people of all ages. If children are worms, they do not understand it and cannot express it. If the child has anorexia, thin stools, nausea, itching on the way to the toilet, then it should be understood that he has worms.
Chittagong Medical College and Hospital Professor Dr. gave details about this. Pranab Kumar Chowdhury.
Among the different types of worms, roundworms, tapeworms and powder worms are more prevalent. Sometimes the roundworm also comes out through the baby's nose and mouth.
It can also enter the baby's airways. It can also cause obstruction in the baby's intestines or bile ducts. The tapeworm causes bleeding from the baby's intestines. The baby gradually becomes anemic. Powder worms are responsible for itching in the toilet.
Children are malnourished due to worms. Worms cause bleeding in the intestines and on the one hand make the child anemic and on the other hand cause diarrhea by obstructing the digestion and absorption of nutrients in the intestines.
Thus long-term infection results in loss of appetite in the baby and he gradually becomes weak. This hinders the physical and mental development of the child.
Corona virus is spread through unhygienic toilet facilities, unhygienic homes, use of contaminated water, poor hand washing at the end of the toilet, poor hand hygiene before preparing or eating food, keeping fingernails large, and cutting nails with teeth.
Treatment
Treatment for worms is usually Albendayole or Mebendayole or Pyrental pamoate. In our country, twice a year on National Vaccine Day, in addition to polio vaccine, children from one to five years of age are given deworming drug (Albendyaole).
